The kalimba,

also known as thumb piano or finger piano, is a traditional African musical instrument derived from the african mbira, made of a wooden board and metal tines. 

It creates soft, melodic, bell-like tones. Usually tuned to C-major to play harmonious songs.

How does the kalimba work ?

A kalimba produces sound when you pluck its metal tines with your thumbs or fingers. Each tine is tuned to a specific note, and the wooden body amplifies the sound. Do your kalimba come pre-tuned ?

Yes, all of our kalimbas are carefully tuned before shipping. They arrive ready to play right out of the box. We also include a tuning hammer and a tuning guide if you'd like to adjust the tuning later.

What is included in the kalimba ?

Most of our kalimbas come with a complete starter set, which typically includes: a protective case or bag, tuning hammer, instruction manual or songbook, and note stickers. Each product page lists exactly what’s included.

Can I return or exchange my kalimba ?

We offer a usually 14- to 30-day return policy for unused or defective items. If you're not satisfied, contact us and we’ll help with a return or exchange process.
